Unregistered Error

The MetaTrader 4/5 client hasn't accepted DLLs or it hasn't been enabled on the indicator or EA file.

Self Diagnostics #1

When loading a fresh indicator or EA, go on the “Inputs” tab make sure that the email corresponding with your Algo Rush account is typed in the field.

When loading a fresh indicator or EA, go on the “Dependencies” tab and make sure that “Allow DLL Imports” is enabled.

Within your MetaTrade client, go on to top menu then under “Tools”, click on “Options”.

Within the “Expert Advisors” tab, make sure that “Allow DLL Imports” and “Allow algorithmic trading” is enabled.

Have you recently used the same Algo Rush email on a new computer? If you are experiencing this issue after loading Algo Rush on another Windows instance, then you will have to submit a ticket to reset your HWID (hardware ID).

Still Receiving Unregistered Error?

If the checks above did not resolve your issue; there is most likely an issue with your account (renewal issues, expired, etc.). Please submit a support ticket with a screenshot of the “Journal” and “Experts” log data to help us serve you better.

Unregistered Error in Strategy Tester (Algo Rush EAs)

Make sure to include your email address in the strategy tester input section. If you also are using Algo Rush on a new computer, you will need to submit a support ticket requesting us to reset the HWID (hardware ID) associated with your account. This could take up to 24 hours for us to process your request.

Indicators are not aligned

Prior to loading an indicator on a new chart, give MetaTrader enough time to download all the price and volume tick data. This could take up to a few minutes. This must be done even when changing between timeframes on the same pair. If the issue still persists, scroll back on the same chart as back as possible prior to loading the indicator.

Array out of range error

Users must wait for all chart data to load prior to loading an Algo Rush indicator or Expert Advisor, this can be achieved either by scroll back on the chart until the first available bar (up to 5 years back). It is also important to do this when you load different timeframes within the same pair. This is primarily due to the fact that our setups contain several mathematical calculations on the backend which requires there to be no discrepancies in chart data. If you continue to have issues, submit a support ticket and our team will assist with resolving your issue.

Configurating MetaTrader 4 & 5 for Algo Rush

MetaTrader 5

Here are the steps for allowing Web Requests on MetaTrader 5:

1) Open MetaTrader 5, go on the top bar menu and click on Tools – Options

2) On the Charts tab, set in Max bars in chart: the number of bars to load from the exchange. Note: 30,000 is enough however allowing up to 100,000 bars is also acceptable under the impression you want to collect more historic data on 1m or 5m timeframes.

3) On the Expert Advisors tab, check Allow DLL imports and Allow WebRequest for listed URL:

NOTE: Only add the URLs below if you plan on using Order Snipe with Algo Rush.
- Binance: https://api.binance.com/ap
- Bitmex: https://www.bitmex.comi
- Bittrex: https://bittrex.com/api
- FTX: https://ftx.com/api

You are now ready to load any chart and begin trading.

Scaling Mode (Resolution & DPI)

Users with either resolutions above 1080p (1920×1080) or DPIs above 96 will need to adjust the scaling mode settings to an option above the default 100% value. Adjusting this will resolve any issues with displaying objects such as text, buttons and windows within active charts.

EA Magic Number

The maximum number of baskets (signals) that can be open at the same time. Within a basket each position is one of the 3 TP levels. If only two out of the three TP levels are being used, then the basket will consist of two positions that have the same entry and their own TP levels.

Using in EA?

When you are using the indicator inside an EA you should set it true to prevent drawing visual objects so the EA will save data of detected harmonic pattern in a separate text file for further use.

Min. Complete

A form of deviation but only for projection patterns. When you set 'Deviation' paramater too strict the scanner will check the MinComplete parameter. How much you decrease will form more projections as a result.

Default: 70

SL Distance (Pips)

You can increase SL level by increasing this value, it's simply just additional pips to stop loss fib level.

Default: 10

TP [1]

The first multiplier within the fib range for determining second take profit level.

Default: 0.382

TP [2]

The second multiplier within the fib range for determining second take profit level.

Default: 0.618

TP [3]

The third multiplier within the fib range for determining second take profit level.

Deviation

A number to determine the percentage of how much away a pattern can deviate from its original harmonic pattern structure. How much you increase it will increase the number of detected patterns that have a higher deviation from the original patterns' ratio. Keeping it low will give you less patterns with the trade-off for getting cleaner and more appropriate pattern matches.

Peak Analysis Depth

Default: 12

A minimum amount of periods needed for the trend to be able to change/switch. With a depth of 1, the trend can change every period (bar) however with a depth of 2 the trend can change only starting from 2 periods (bars). The value you use ultimately depends on what the length of your chosen period is. Below is an example:

Depth - the parameter allows to specify the minimum number of periods, needed to draw one segment of the indicator's line. The possible values are from 1 through 10,000. The default value is 12. The smaller the number is, the shorter the segments are and the line changes its direction more often. The greater the number is, the longer the segments are, and the line changes its direction less frequently. A trader chooses the Depth parameter's value in accordance with what chart figures need to be identified. For identifying Harmonic Patterns and Elliott Waves, for example, the commonly used value is the default one - 12.

Below you can see examples of ZIGZAG indicators with different Depth parameter's values (2, 12, 100) drawn in additional areas.

Peak Analysis Deviation

Default: 5

The minimum percentage that price has to change in order for the trend to change directions. The default value is 5. A trader chooses the Backstep parameter's value in accordance with what chart figures need to be identified.

Will look for the previous low, then look for the uptrend.
For shorts it will look for the previous high, then look for the downtrend.

In the example below, we included a variety of different zigzag lines with different deviation values. These differences in deviation values determine how strong a rebound has to be (in terms of % change) for a pivot to be considered. This works in conjunction with the “Depth” option since that option defines the minimum amount of periods (bars) required since the last rebound if the deviation rule becomes valid at any time.

Blue line: 5% deviation (highest deviation value, least elastic to changes)
Green line: 3% deviation
Yellow line: 1.5% deviation
Red line: 1% deviation (lowest deviation value, most elastic to changes)

Peak Analysis Backstep

Default: 3

Backstep reflects the minimum amount of bars between which the high and low can be plotted, you can think of this of the total width of the potential fib retracement/extension based off candlestick width periods. These settings should be adapted to various financial markets and you will probably end up using different settings for one market, instrument, price/harmonic pattern, and so fourth. Additionally, you could also end up changing the settings for the same market or indicator when the market conditions change along with its volatility.

Backstep - the parameter allows to specify the number of bars backwards from the current bar to be used for an assessment triggered by reaching or surpassing the Deviation parameter's value. The possible values are from 1 through 10,000. The default value is 3. The smaller the number is, the shorter the segments are and the line changes its direction more often. The greater the number is, the longer the segments are, and the line changes its direction less frequently. A trader chooses the Backstep parameter's value in accordance with what chart figures need to be identified. For identifying Elliott Waves, for example, the commonly used value is the default one - 3.

Harmonic price patterns are those that take geometric price patterns to the next level by utilizing Fibonacci numbers to define precise turning points. Unlike other more common trading methods, harmonic trading attempts to predict future movements.

System Overview

Great for harmonic traders and harmonic pattern enthusiasts, currently available for MetaTrader 5 and will be released for MetaTrader 4 in the near future. Our harmonic pattern trading setup is a non-lagging, non-repainting indicator and Expert Advisor.

Potential Reversal Zones

All harmonic patterns generated within our system comes in the form of projected D-Legs making the potential position prepare in advance before the pattern shape's full completion (minimum completion parameter is adjustable). Notifications as well as automated trades can now be determined by price action at this zone and take trades upon confirmations of proper reversal. Manually identifying and charting a valid harmonic pattern is difficult and time consuming, hence why we strongly recommend our Harmonic Patterns system.

This trading tool gives you precise entry points called Price Potential Reversal Zone (PricePRZ), the invalidation zones (Stop Loss), as well as 3 exit points (Target Levels) ensuring adequate compensation for risk taken when held to maturity with average risk reward ratio of 3.12 for the 3 Target Levels.

It gives you notifications immediately a potential price divergence and possible reversal is detected. All you then need to do is watch out for price action at the PRZ price levels and take your trade (or let the EA do it for you) upon confirmations of proper reversal.

Displays projected patterns which gives users an advantage by allowing the position to prepare for volatility.

Users have the option to trade the following harmonic patterns with multiple TP levels and SL options. All parameters for TP/SL fib extension values as well as position sizing amounts per level can be configured by users.

MetaTrader Templates

Templates for trading charts and strategy tester are available for MetaTrader 4 & 5. To make the standard chart default for MetaTrader, simply rename the Algo Rush.tpl file to default.tpl. When installing the Strategy Tester template, it is automatically set as the default chart template for backtests.

The installer supports both 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows. The installer automatically locates MetaTrader 4 and 5 installation folders and gives users the option to install and/or update Quantvision products. Users are able to install Algo Rush indicators and EAs on either or both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.

Trend Fib: Level B (Move Stop to Entry) [0.0-1.0]

Where the the stoploss is moved from the 0 fib level to the entry price. This input should be modified when the default level of moving the SL to entry should be something else rather than 0.50. It however must be higher than point A (in the case of a long setup). Alternatively if you would like the feature of moving SL to entry disabled, this can be done in the EA settings page by disabling the “Move SL to Breakeven/Entry at Level B” option.

Trend Fib: Level C (Trailing from Level B begins) [0.0-1.0]

Where the the trailing begins with a value that's the price difference between the 0.66 and 0.50 fib levels. This begins as soon as price reaches the 0.66 level. This input should be modified when the default level to begin calculating trailing from 0.50 needs to be changed. For example, if 0.80 is used, then price will trail with a difference of 0.80-0.50 once price crosses 0.80. Alternatively if you would like this trailing feature to be disabled completely, this can be done in the EA settings page by disabling the “Start Trailing SL at Point C (From Point B)” option.

Trend Breakout System

The Trend Breakout System is a trend continuation system that uses specific price structure patterns along with pivots and fractals to plot dynamic fibonacci retracements and extensions. Used for locating ranges that determine entries as well as various targets and stoplosses.

The Expert Advisor (EA), indicator and dashboard are available for MetaTrader 4 & 5. The system works seamlessly with Forex, commodities, indices, equities, cryptocurrencies and more. Trading trend continuations within existing technical analysis setups providers traders with additional support for pinpointing positions of entries along with their targets.

System Overview

The trend continuation (following) system explained:

Uses strategic pivot locations to base price pattern projections from the most recent close price.
Price pattern projections include customizable Fibonacci level options to begin entries, stoploss moves, trailing activation and take-profits.

Determining Swing Low & Swing High Locations

Before traders enter into a trend continuation trade, it's a must that the swing low and swing high are determined in order to produce a retracement of a trend line that will be used as an extension.

Our users have the option to base their swing high and swing low off of the following mechanisms:

Pivot High & Pivot Low
Double Top and Double Bottom
Triple Top & Triple Bottom

*Note: Above is just a general example of how a trend continuation setup would be formed. The Trend Breakout's method uses the ability to properly quantify and plot these high and low swing locations along with the custom criteria used for determining when to begin placing the following extension fib within the trend bias.

Pivot High & Pivot Low

By definition, the fractal mark is placed above the third candlestick if it is a maximum or minimum within a series of 5 candlesticks. Our system calculates the classic bullish and bearish 5-bar fractal by scanning 2 candles to the left and right from the middle candle. Users have the option to customize the length of the fractal if they wish to do so. Increasing the length could provide both positives and negatives, more details are explained later on. The example below illustrates the fractals that we use as pivots.

Double Top & Double Bottom

By definition, proper structure for double bottoms include the right side being higher than the left side and for double tops the right side must be lower than the left side.

Triple Top & Triple Bottom

The same is said for triple bottoms and triple tops except there is one additional side that is formed which must be lower than the previous two lows or highs.

Trend Breakout Implementation

In the example we have plotted the same Fibonacci retracement that the Trend Breakout System would have calculated automatically behind the scenes (based on the same low and high swing rules just with the option for pivots (fractals), double bottoms/tops and triple bottoms/tops as minimas and maximas. The long Trend Breakout setup appears within the 0.382 and 0.500 levels with the “Pivot Low” option enabled. Our in-house trading system allows for additional measures which include custom acceptance levels, trend indicators and price patterns to further determine the eligibility of new setups. These additional measures have been vetted over the years and are quantifiable unlike traditional trend continuation setups which requires manual discretionary charting due to the lack of technical depth required to pinpoint these swings without a human eye.

Starting Point (red line) - Fixed level: 0
- The level in which the setup starts from. By default it's also the first stoploss used unless the Stoploss offset option is used. Depending on the “Search Width” and “Rebound Style” options used.

Point A (light blue line) - Default customizable level: 0.25
- The level in which positions can begin to enter into a trade.

Point B (green line)- Default customizable level: 0.50
- The level in which the stoploss is moved from the 0 fib level (or lower if offset is used) to the entry price above Point A.

Point C (dark blue line) - Default customizable level: 0.66
- The level in which positions begin trailing. The trailing price amount is defined as the distance between 0.50 and 0.66.

Ending Point (yellow line) - Fixed level: 1.00
- The level in which the setup starts from. By default it's also the first stoploss used unless the Stoploss offset option is used.

Note: The location of the A, B and C is inverted for short Trend Breakout setups. More details are covered in this guide.

Part 1: Trend Identification

Using Pivot Low & High

This early setup was determined right after the second candle closed (open of the third candle), to illustrate this we created a white outlined box around the price level where the signal would've confirmed and stayed (non-repainting). This same signal was also produced realtime to show the swing detection in action.

For the example above, the following parameters were used:

Rebound Style [Long]: Pivot Low
Search Width: Wide (21 Bars)
Early Trend Forward Shift: Wide (11 Bars)
Trend Following Mode: true
Pivot Length: 2

The reason why the signal appears on the open of the 3rd candle (outlined white box) is due to the fact that the default fractal length of 2 was used. The integer 2 defines the length that our system should use to scan left and right. Therefor the default setting 2 is what is labelled as a Classical 5-bar fractal.

If the “Pivot Length” option is changed to 4, then the total fractal size would be 9 candles. The increase in length accounts for stronger fractals thus resulting in less noise, however the downside is that the pivot won't be able to confirm until the close of the 4th candle rather than the 2nd. This may result in missing out on some trades if they shoot above (long) or below (short) the entry levels prior to confirming the 4th candle.

Using Double Bottom & Double Top

If the double bottom or triple bottom method for determining swings was used, then the signal to go long or short will only appears once the price closes above or below the neckline (see diagrams above for double and triple structures and their necklines). The swings are based off the lowest point of the double bottom or high point of the double top. This method should only be used for very volatile markets since this option along with the triple strucutres will significantly reduce your tradeable setups. This is mainly due to the fact that most of these necklines on double or triple bottoms are formed and crossed far above the initial entry level.

Part 2: Entering a Trade

Now that trend identification for all available methods have been discussed, the steps pertaining to entering a trade with our EA (or manually) are as follows:

Long Setup

The 0.00 Fibonnaci extension is placed on the swing lows within a trend.

*Note: If “Trend Continuation” is enabled, up to 2 more setups may arise if price continues to fall yet stay within an acceptable levels and parameters when trying to go long.

Bullish Upward Trend

Short Setup

The 0.00 Fibonnaci extension is placed on the swing highs within a trend.

Part 3: Scenarios for Different Trailing & Stoplosses

Scenario 1

The price does not break Point A (0.25 level) and instead breaks below the 0.00 fib level. Setup is the invalidated.

Scenario 2

The price first breaks Point A (0.25 level) and either confirms the entry in real-time, one candle close, or on the 2nd candle close.
The price does not break the 0.50 fib level and instead breaks the 0.00 fib, then the setup will become invalidated.

Note: Users can enable/disable the following safety features to have a different outcome occur:

Either realtime crossing, one or two candle close confirmations for entering past 0.25 (or any custom Point A level).
Moving 1st made stoploss from 0 to Break Even at 0.50 (can either enable/disable or customize the point A, B and C fib levels).

Scenario 3

The price first breaks Point A (0.25 level) and either confirms the entry in real-time, one candle close, or on the 2nd candle close.
The price breaks the 0.50 fib level (Point B) and the stoploss is moved to the entry price.
The price however falls below the entry level (around 0.25 region) thus resulting in a break even trade (minus fees and spread).

Risk-Reward Ratio

The risk reward ratio is calculated by multiplying the distance between the anticipated entry level and the low of the double bottom (or high of the double top) to determine take profit levels. A risk-reward of 2-1 (default option) indicates that the distance of the take-profit from the desired entry level is twice the distance as the distance of the stop-loss from the desired entry level.

The Ultimate Breakout System uses four different underlying trend modifiers to determine the direction of the market. Part 1: Swing, Pullback & Reversal Trading

The tools incorporates the majority of the indicators needed to analyse and scalp Trends for Swings, Pullbacks and reversals on M15 charts and M1 charts.

Note: If you are using this portion of the setup, we strongly recommend the M15 timeframe. Other timeframes can be used however the inputs used to calculate the indicators have been optimized for the M15 timeframe.

Incorporated within this portion of tool are the following indicators:

The 10EMA (default) High/Low + Close Price Action Channel (PAC)
- The PAC channel display and functionalities are enabled by default.

Coloured coded Bar high lighting based on the PAC (enabled by default):
- Blue = bar closed above PAC
- Red = bar closed below PAC
- Gray = bar closed inside PAC
- Lime (middle line) = EMA10 of bar close

EMA12-36 Ribbon is displayed by default

Optional Display Fractals and Resistance/Support (disabled by default)
- The support and resistance lines are drawn on the close of the 2nd candle. This is only under the condition that the Fractal Depth is set to 2 (since it will scan for 2 candles both left and right from the centre (3rd) candle. For example if the Fractal Depth option is set to 4, then the support or resistance band that are drawn from the fractal pivots will be drawn starting from the close of the 4th candle. It is ideal to stick to the default option which will incorporate the classical 5 bar bull and bear fractal requirements.

Optional display of HH, LH, LL, HL scanner (disabled by default)
- What this does is use the same fractal locations and determine whether it's a lower low, lower high, etc.

Part 2: Reversal Breakout & Trend Trading

Money Flow Index (MFI)
- Double top: Downward Trend
- Double bottom: Upward Trend

Directional Movement Index (DMI) - DI+ and DI- only

  - Double top: Downward Trend
  - Double bottom: Upward Trend

  - Double top: Upward Trend
  - Double bottom: Downward Trend

For each of these indicators you set the following options:

Use: whether you want to use it
The maximum width: over how many bars a W / M is allowed to form
The maximum offset: how many bars back a W / M is allowed to form
Length: length of the indicator, for example a 14 bar RSI
Strict: when not set, point D no longer has to be above B (for W), and no longer has to be below B (for M). See example below of both strict and non-strict double bottom and double top.

Users have the option to trade the on the W or M breakout while using swing trading tools and various trend and volatility indicators to use as entry reasons. The configurable risk-reward ratio is calculated from the high of the double top or double bottom structure with an optional stoploss offset percentage input.

Part 3: Trend Identification & Safety Exit Measures

Here are the following hybrid indicators that help the system determine the direction of the trend.

Double Adaptive ATR-ADX:
- The ATR-ADX stop is effectively a double adaptive stop that trails the price, by both adapting to the true range of the price, and the average directional change. When the stop is below the price (long trade) the value never decreases until the price intersects the stop, and it reverses to being above the price (short trade). When the stop is above the price it will never increase until it is intersected by the price. As the true range and ADX change, the stop will move more quickly or more slowly.
- Constructs the trailing ATR stop above or below the price, and switches directions when the source price breaks the ATR stop. Uses the Average Directional Index (ADX) to switch between ATR multipliers.
  - The higher multiplier is used when the ADX is rising, and the lower ATR multiplier is used with the ADX is falling.
  - This ADX criteria further widens the gap between the source price and the trailing ATR stop when the price is trending, and lessens the gap between the ATR and the price when then price is not trending.
- First, if the 'Above Threshold' box is checked,the falling (smaller) multiplier will be used regardless once the ADX rises above a certain threshold (default > 30). The ATR will effectively rise faster once the price enters 'very trendy' mode.
- Typically, ADX > 20/25 is used in classic ADX trading. The idea behind this extra multiplier criteria is that once the price starts trending 'very' well, a top/bottom is likely near, and when that top comes the price will quickly rebound.

Price Action Channel (PAC) Cross
- The PAC can be adjusted, by default the PAC High/Low is set to 10.
- If enabled long: the position will immediately sell once the price touches the upper limit of the channel from above.
- If enabled short: the position will immediately sell once the price touches the lower limit of the channel from below.

EMA Ribbon Cross
- Uses EMA lines: 12 , 15 , 18 , 21 , 24 , 27 , 30 , 33 , 36
- If enabled long: the position will immediately sell once the price touches the upper limit of the EMA ribbon from above.
- If enabled short: the position will immediately sell once the price touches the lower limit of the EMA ribbon from below.

Fractals:
- The fractal can be adjusted, by default the Fractal (L/R) length is set to 4.
- If enabled long: the position will immediately sell once a bearish fractal forms or closes.
- If enabled short: the position will immediately sell once a bullish fractal forms or closes.
